Yasmina Mensouri
- Doctor of Chiropractic
I graduated from the Health Sciences University with a Master of Chiropractic degree after completing the five-year integrated Master’s programme.
My journey into chiropractic was not a straightforward one. I originally started my studies in medicine in France, where I first discovered chiropractic. The more I learned about it, the more I fell in love with the profession and its approach to health and patient care. During COVID, I made the decision to change direction and leave France to pursue my chiropractic studies in England.
Having trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and strength training myself, I understand the physical demands that training can place on the body and how frustrating it can be when pain or injury gets in the way. I enjoy combining chiropractic care with rehabilitation, exercise and education to help people feel better, move well and get back to doing the things they enjoy.
I believe every patient is different and that care should be adapted to the individual. I like taking the time to understand what matters to each person and working together to find the approach that suits them best. I am also committed to continuing to learn and develop my skills so that I can provide the best possible care.
Outside of the clinic, I spend a lot of my time training. I particularly enjoy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and weightlifting. I also enjoy spending time with my partner, discovering new food and places, and I try to stay as close as possible to my friends and family back in France.
Overall, I fell in love with chiropractic because it combines so many things that I am passionate about: health, movement, working with people and helping them understand their own bodies. Having changed my career path and moved countries to pursue chiropractic, I feel very lucky to now be doing something I genuinely love. I want my patients to feel listened to, understood and empowered to take an active role in their health, whether their goal is to get back to sport, manage everyday aches and pains, or simply feel their best.
